The Ken K Vibe is my three piece band. We are currently rehearsing for some upcoming shows - we'll be doing a late set at the Next Door Bar in Castle Rock, on 8/1 and also playing a marathon at Reinke Brothers in downtown Littleton on 8/16. Come check out the chemistry between me, Jeff Norman and George Sassano.
To those of you on my email list will soon be receiving a message from me regarding a new secure email distributor, FanReach from Reverbnation.com. This is a great service for musicians - and should provide a much more pleasant experience for my readers.
When the time comes, you will be asked to confirm that it's okay to send you emails. This is a chance for you to "opt out" if you choose (I hope you don't!) - or you can immediately confirm. If you don't do anything it's the same as confirming, only I can't send anything to you for three days.
Drop me a line if you have any questions. If you're not on my list and would like to be, please let me know. peace.
Just want to thank Karen, Janice, Sandy, Greg and Rene for booking private events with me this summer. If you're interested in having me entertain your party, please contact me! It's a great way to make a good party better!!
I've booked all of the Sunday afternoons at the Morrison Inn through the month of July and most likely will continue this trend through the summer of 2008. All of the shows start at 1p and go until 5p. This has been a great time for me - and I've been introducing all kinds of new music and new looping techniques. Come on by and check it out!
I've booked all of the Sunday afternoons at the Morrison Inn through the month of June 2008. All of the shows start at 1p and go until 5p. The crowds have been good and the weather fantastic. Hoping for more of the same! See you there!
I just inked the deal with the South Metro Chamber of Commerce for the band to play the Littleton Block party on June 14, 2008. We will be rocking on Main Street from 6pm - 10pm as the newly named "KEN K VIBE". It is free and a great outdoor event featuring four stages of great music, food and other cool stuff. Mark the calendar!
I've booked consecutive Sunday afternoons at the Morrison Inn through the month of May (except the last one on 5/25/08). All of the shows start at 1p and go until 5p. They moved the stage to the back corner and I'm still working out the sound logistics. I'm finding the best seats for listening and viewing are in the back area near the stage. Let me know what you think of the new stage arrangement!
I will now be a guest host and DJ for the radio show "ROCK TOPICS" aired on CastleRockRadio.com internet radio station. The show broadcasts live on Thursday evenings from 8pm - 10pm (MST). I am teamed with Gary Dean Smith and/or Hoss and will include live music and interviews of local Colorado musicians.
If you are a local artist and would like some free promo and air play, please contact me and I'll see what I can do to get you on the show. To listen, just dial into http://www.castlerockradio.com or click here.
Given the beautiful Colorado weather, the Morrison Inn opened the patio a couple weeks earlier than last year and started music the weekend of April 18-20. I played on Sunday afternoon (4/20) to a packed patio in breezy 70 degree weather. Thanks to the many mailing list folks who showed up...
I'd love to hear your comments on the new stage location... shoot me an email.
I also posted a new video on on the music page. It's from the March 8th Java Guru show and features some live looping over Jimi's "Little Wing". Enjoy! You can also see it, along with my other videos on my YouTube Channel".
Well, I've received a copy of the radio interview from Feb 21st and I also have some video footage of the show at the Java Guru on March 8th. I'm currently preparing them for web streaming and YouTube viewing. I'll let everyone on the email list know when they're available - if you want to be notified, just sign up here.
Thanks to everyone who "tuned in" to castlerockradio.com last week for my exclusive interview with guest host, Gary Dean Smith. Despite some goofy schticks and technical problems, the show was a lot of fun and I was able to play 4-5 new songs. I am getting a copy of the show and will have the second half on the website in case you missed it for any reason. Thanks again to everyone for your support!
