Ken K is a guitarist, performer, songwriter and teacher who performs and teaches regularly in the Denver, CO area. His influences hover everywhere between Rock, Americana, Blues, Folk and Pop and his style and sound is raw, personal and real.
Ken often performs solo, using a "loop pedal" to layer multiple guitar tracks that sound like a full band. This is done 100% LIVE and never pre-recorded so every performance is unique and different! Ken is occasionally joined by his band, the "Thump Brothers" (Jeff Norman on bass and Carl Holz on drums). Together they are rocking trio that will keep you tapping and dancing all night long!
Achievements and Awards
Ken's song "Wonderful Day" is currently the theme show song for the Denver Channel 2 morning news program, "Daybreak". It began airing on July 27th, 2011 and you can see it below. Ken has also been awarded the "Golden Wave Award" by WorldWideWaves.com radio station. "The GWA is a cool way for us to recognize individuals in the underground music business who have made a positive contribution to the world through their efforts. The GWA is also given to radio people, music industry specialists, and people who touch our lives without expecting any credit or kudos at all." Check it out here. In addition to performing and writing songs, Ken runs the "Littleton Guitar School", offering superb guitar training in the southwest metro Denver area (Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Ken Caryl and surrounding areas).
Ken's teaching goes beyond just learning to play guitar, and also focuses on building confidence, persistence and determination in reaching your goals as a guitar player.
